The 2nd new edition of H.E.S.T. ( Hostile Environment Survival Tool...") is now manufactured by Toor Knives, USA – with a blade made of D2 blade steel (instead of former 1095 Carbon steel versions). New: with brass screwed, removable Micarta hollow handle scales (with attachment possibility for small parts such as fishhooks, Rods etc.) in Linen optic.- Colour of the handle scales are 'Canvas Micarta green'.- The new Kydex sheath is equipped with a reversible (left/right) belt clip. The H.E.S.T Original also features a bottle opener on the blade back, the 'hook' on the Pommel is compact enough to use it as a gear, and a tappet for breaking wires situated at the bottom of the blade.

 As to be seen on one of our pictures, the H.E.S.T.-Original is a quite compact knife, which is for our opinion not suitable for large hands.
