Cold Steel AD-15 Lite Spear Point

The model AD-15 Lite from Cold Steel is a less expensive version of the AD-15.- Whilst it is identical in construction the 'Lite'-model features a blade made of japanese AUS10A- stainless steel (instead of a blade made of S35VN of the original version).-

              The AD-15 Lite too features the Scorpion lock designed by Andrew Demko in the upper portion of the handle, called the “yoke”.- It includes an integral back spacer which conceals a strong compression spring.- If the blade is opened, the yoke will engage in a notch in the blades tongue and the blade is securely held by the spring pressure.- 

              The blade is opened using one of the 2 thumb pins, once the yoke is opened just a swing of the wrist will fully deploy the blade.

              The second change compared to the original AD-15 is that the lower part and the pommel of the handle are made of injection moulded Griv-Ex in this 'Lite'-Version (which is less cost-intensive in production then the CNC-machined G10 grip of the original version), the upper part (the yoke) is made of hard anodized black aluminium 6061.-

              The AD-15 Lite's pocket clip is reversible too, so the rugged folder can be carried left side as well as on the right side (tip-up).-
