Roxon Phantom S802

According to the manufacturer Roxon it's Phantom S802S Multitool has 15 functions.- But as we all know from other Multitools that manufacturers develop a lot of phantasy on what they name 'function': For instance what do you really need a ruler of 8cm in length for? -

             In this 'tradition' Roxon goes the extra mile by dividing the can opener on it's model Phantom in 2 functions: #1 the can opener and #2 the 'can pry bar' (without the 'can pry bar' the can opener doesn't open anything, so this is part of the can opener!) - and the same wire cutter as of the 'Storm' model (1 function) is counted 2 functions on the Phantom model ( #1 for hard materials and #2 for soft materials).

           So it looks like compared to the Storm model you are getting less and have to pay more....but it's not that easy: At first the Phantom is an improved design, the pliers are more sturdy, the scissors handle is lockable now, the blades of the wire cutter are exchangeable (spare blades and T8 wrench are included) and the 4 small tools can be lifted, locked and unlocked by a slide switch.-

         Additionally the body of the Phantom has rounded corners, which doesn't only improve the looks but the handling as well.

         But the biggest difference between the Storm and the Phantom model are the (without tools) replaceable blades: You simply slide both levers on the handle scale on the side of the blade simultaneously upwards, this loosens the scale and you can easily take off the blade below the scale and replace it by one of 9 different blades available as accessories (our products #4014, #4016 and #4017).-

          In the meanwhile Roxon has slightly updated the Phantom model - we ship the newer version with the 4 small fold-outs as shown on the photos 'new version' / neue Version from now on....
