Wenige Messer sind so lange schon gefertigt und konsequent über die Jahre verbessert worden wie dieses, über wenige ist soviel geschrieben worden, es zählt zu den Klassikern, ist "das Messer" schlechthin, und der Service bei Outdoormesser.de, Herrn Rehmann sei es gedankt, ist umfassend gut!

Hatte schon vor zig Jahren eins, das ich übelst rangenommen habe, dann lange Zeit alles Mögliche andere im Einsatz. Inzwischen bin ich wieder beim Ka Bar rausgekommen, ist mir einfach das Liebste Fixed. Hätte auch nicht unbedingt ersetzt werden müssen, da noch alles OK, aber ich WOLLTE einfach noch eins. Das neue scheint mir 2, 3mm kürzer und der Griff schlanker als beim alten, dabei wirklich extrem scharf out of the box (sogar einen Tick noch schärfer als das TOPS B.O.B!). Wirkt fast, als ob Qualität ein bißchen rauf wäre seit damals (anders als z.B. bei Puma und Konsorten). Leder für Scheide ist definitiv besser als bei meinem alten anfangs und ich versteh sowieso nicht, was da manche zu meckern haben (YT). Eigentlich sollte man das Ding hier im Dutzend kaufen (dazu noch bei dem Preis). 110% Empfehlung von mir!

Nachdem ich das Messer mir Kraton-Griff schon einige Zeit besitze und benutze, wollte ich die Ausführung mit Ledergriff auch kennenlernen. Greift sich deutich angenehmer als mit Kraton! Es ist Gegenstand unzähliger Diskussionen, welcher Griff besser ist. Ich glaube, wenn man den Ledergriff pfleglich behandelt (wie man es ohnehin mit seinen Werkzeugen tun sollte) wird auch er sehr lange halten.

Le couteau quand a lui est un couteau fantastique, un mythe.

Liegt top in meiner Hand (eher kleine/mittelgroße Hände), sitzt enorm fest in der Scheide, vor allem mit dem Druckknopf. Riecht wunderbar nach hochwertigem Leder. Der Stahl ist enorm scharf, schon bei Auslieferung. Enorm Kostengünstig, (in Anbetracht der Qualität) vor allem hier.

Das Messer ist Top verarbeitet, die Beschichtung der Klinge sehr gleichmäßig. Die Schneide ist ab Werk extrem scharf geschliffen, so muss das sein. Die mitgelieferte Lederscheide ist stabil gefertigt und sieht gut aus.
Alles in allem ein "must have", vor allem zu dem Preis.
