This classic KA-BAR model disposes of a leather handle, the blade is made of black-coated 4.3 mm thick not stainless 1095 Carbon steel with a length of about 7" (approx. 18.0 cm)...(pommel is also made of black-coated Carbon steel); here: serrated model with glass fiber reinforced Nylon sheath with fastener loop.-

The model "USMC", designed for helicopter pilots of the U.S. Marine-Corps within the 2nd World War described the image of KA-BAR. At the U.S.-militarys’ side the main request to this knife was that it should be solid enough to make it possible to the pilots who were locked in their helicopters to cut the outer skin of the helicopter from inside in order to free themselves (such as a “can opener from the inside”...)-
