Becker Campanion knife (BK2) is a compact, classic Survival knife according to the draft of the legendary Ethan Becker (well-known especially in USA).- Owing to the huge demand among collectors KA-BAR has revived that model and introduced the BK2 featuring a Cordura-sheath under the model number BK 22 in 2013.-
The most notable fact on the Becker Campanion knife is the extreme blade thickness of more than 6.0 mm making the knife relatively heavy but also 'unbreakable'.-
Between the Bolster on the front side and the Guard on the pommel the knife feels great and safe in the hand, in spite of the relatively smooth handle scales made of Ultramid.- The screwed handle scales fits perfectly into the hand and uncover a hammer pommel with a 2.0 cm support length at the handle end.-
Our Conclusion is the following:
On the basis of its high blade thickness the BK2 will be surely unsuitable as Fillet knife, but if you search for a compact Survival knife which may be also used for splitting wood and other rough works with machete-similar dimensions, the Becker Campanion will be the perfect one!-
