The Tops Tahoma field knife is a massive outdoor knife intended - as TOPS points out - for military use as well as for civil use.- That is why TOPS offers the Tahoma Field Knife with a double edged blade as well as with a single edged blade with a top false edge which is presented here.- With a blade of 5mm thickness and a length of more then 21cm, the Tahoma Field Knife is convenient for chopping as well as for fine carving tasks if the finger choil on the lower side of the blade is used bringing the hand closer to the blade.-
The notch on the spine of the blade of the Tahoma is used for scoring materials to create a weak point to break, as well as break wire by work hardening it, and pulling pots and similar items out of a fire. The overall shape of the handle is made for ergonomics and to give the user a better grasp like on a machete. Dual spindle sockets for a bow drill make it safe to use left or right hand operation. On the pommel of the knife is a pry bar, shaped and positioned so that if given a backseat grip on the knife during chopping, it would not cut, or wear into the users hand.
The TOPS Tahoma Field Knife is delivered with a black Ballistic Nylon sheath with MOLLE-backing and a front accessory pocket.-
