Ontario RTAK-2 Nylon 8669

The RTAK-II from Ontario is a large - at weight of more than 600 grams - heavy slasher . It features a 26cm powder coated flat ground blade made - as of the other Ontario RAT-models - of 1075 carbon steel.- Ontario names the colour of the pwder coating 'green' which actually isn't a clear green but more a grey-green tint like the foliage green of our Paracord colours.- The handle scales are made of tan Micarta, at a length of a little more than 14cm it is a big handle which isn't recommended for small hands.

       The RTAK-II is shipped with a MOLLE-compatible Nylon sheath with two loop closures.- It looks like Ontario's counterpart to the ESEE-Junglas, so if you can do without the liners at the handle and without the complex Kydex sheath of the Junglas, you get a comparable knife at slightly more than half the price of the ESEE-Junglas (currently selling for ~ 280.-€ including sheath).-
