Shock Cord / Bungee Cord

Shock Cord or Bungee cord has a braided sheath either of nylon or of polyester that surrounds a rubber core.- Bungee cord with a 100% elongation rating can be stretched to double its original length.- 

        We purchase our Shock Cord (because of the higher elasticity) with a nylon sheath from the same manufacturer in the USA as our Nylon-Paracord, so the colours are identical.-

        The 4mm Shock Cord has the same diameter than P.cord Paracord 550 but because of the stiff rubber core, it is more tight, similar to a round cable.

        The elongation of the 4mm Shock Cord is 100 +/- 10%, it's breaking strength is not expressly noted by the manufacturer, it will be about 80 -100kg.

         Shock Cord is used for instance for tensioning or shock absorbing purposes.-
